I'm looking at getting a tail bag thingie for an old XT Tenere. Must look nice and sort of " authentic ", BUT must also be functional, I'd like to use it.
Will be used for day trip stuff - wallet/keys/smokes/nippies/maybe water/etc etc etc.
I fitted a Badger handlebar bag last week, fits very nicely - that's for when I ride it to work and back only (wallet,keys,smokes,cell).
It MUST be " rigid", so if I go a canvassy route it must have solid plastic plates or similar inside.
Get something made out of leather or similar, to get an authentic sort of thing?
Or get something like Enduristan/SW/etc etc that is waterproof and more functional?
I'm a wee bit worried about a thickish leather baggie........will look nice, but not sure how waterproof it will be, and how long it would last in water/sun
