So i rode my bike over the weekend and it performed well with the Golan filter and removing the in tank filter. But i am scared the Golan filter area is a bit small so have decided to re fit a in tank filter. I found these from Midas for R25. It matches  what came out. From a dealer in Cape town.  It is a high pressure 10 micron filter. The clamp sizes for the in tank filter are 9mm to 11mm.

The Golan filter is much larger than the white in-line OEM filter at the quick disconnect so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Ian

Thanks for the explanation. I will have a look at the filter setup. I would be interested in one of those springs when you get them.

So I finally got around to sorting this out. I did it slightly differently though. When I took the filter and cage off I noticed the filter housing has 2 "ears" on either side so I shaped the cage to sit on those and bonded it in place with some 11FC.

I have given up on the spring idea. The plastic fence is working just perfectly for now.

I just added some holes to the plastic side covers to get more trapped hot air out.  Just for Fun.

One of the better mods done. I fitted a KTM 4 stroke gear shifter. It is about a cm longer and has a better folding tip. The leaver is smoother and better on the boot. Just the price at almost R900 is a bit steep. I am very happy with the result.

The O2 dongle thing?

Did mine last week. Can't say that I noticed a big difference in low end grunt. Maybe a tiny bit.

I also added these throttle spacers . A friend #D printed them for me. They take up the slack throttle play.

A Boosterplug's all you need and works for me: open LOUD Stealth pipe (which is a tad longer than the usual zorts, it ends just past the indicators) & Rade TwinAir filter  :thumleft:
