The Times They Are a-Changin'

In the summer of 1977 my favourite motorcycling writer, Peter Egan and his friend John Oakey embarked on a trip, mounted respectively on a 1964 Honda Cub 50 and Stella 10-speed racing bicycle, under the auspices of “doing an efficiency comparison between a pedal bike and one of the fuel-sipping champions of the 20th century.”

Now, 43 years later, they re-enacted that trip with modern equivalents.
