Done a few dusty rides lately so I thought I'd have a look at the air filter. Not bad at all, but worth another blow out. No....you're not supposed to blow out paper filters, but who doesn't?
Anyway I checked back in my notes, and realised ashamedly how old the filter is and how many blow outs it's had, so I decided it's time for a new one. I've got a number for a Hi-Flo generic which Midas have listed, but they haven't got and can't say when they can get one. Oh well, I'll look in at BMW just for the laugh
. No surprises. R464.00, pay up front and wait for it. "I'll get back to you on that".
Next stop, Speedyquip parts. Now I've heard before somewhere that BMW put their OEM brand on Mahle filters. Speedyquip :- "Yes sir, I've got a Mahle, that's R215.00".
