Morning.
Hope you're all free of weird viruses.  :pot:

I want to ask about Fuel Injection, since this is the first non-carb bike I have.
I'm not keen on "modding" for the sake of it, and I don't intend to do any non-functional farkles, but I would like to suck out an extra hp somewhere. The spark arrestor comes to mind, and at the same time it would take away the annoying whistley pansy sound at road speeds.

However, there's a few parks of thought when it come to F.I. (specifically on my 2020 CRF250L)

1. The injection computer will auto sense stuff like a free flow in the header/silencer, and will adjust. So no worry.
2. The bike will run even leaner than it runs stock. Do worry.
3. Get a EJK and solve all the problems.

My problem with 3. is finding suppliers in SA and secondly, factory warranty. So it's not really an option for the next 3 years :(

How does FI really work and does it auto compensate? Can I trust it to always keep the mix right, or what the fap.

Thanks for teaching me  :thumleft:
