Hi Dogs, best wishes for 2021 for all! Lets hope its a better one than last year..

Im looking to buy a new scooter for the delivery guy. I see the pricing is about 20-25k for a major brand scooter. Vespa is too much..

What do you guys think? Suzuki 110 or 125/ Honda 125 or maybe something else?

If your guy is fairly lightweight, the 110 will do fine.

Thanks! I had a quick look at the specs and the 2 major differences between the Honda and Suzi are weight(Suzi is about 25kg heavier) and cooling system(Suzuki125 has a liquid cooling system and Honda only aircooled) . Not sure if my research is accurate..

Isnt a liquid cooling system better?

thanks! But its not gonna work. He weighs 62Kg and the average load is another 5kg. The suspension is not goin to hold up, too many speedbumps in town!

I have the Suzuki address uk 110. It's air cooled but has fuel injection. It can get my 115kg body up to 90km/h while giving me 30km to a liter. I love my little scooter.

The suspension will hold. It's a T7, not a 790, it will only go "kaklunk".

Frans, depending on your delivery distances, the Kymco 100 2stroke, 2nd hand at around R8000 is a great and strong scooter, with minimal maintenance.

Any of the Kymco's can be considered, along with the Japs.

My pal here at Honda offered me a new Suzuki 125 at R 21500.........apparently old price. I wanted it for my daughter but decided against it (safety issues).

Shout if you want this number - brand new, white one, R 21500. Honda in Bloem sells a Honda 125 at around R 26500 I think.

I have worked on the Suzuki and Honda scooters , the Honda is better build quality , also check on the Suzuki , some of their scooters are made in China

Frans..............obviously reliability/price is important factor, but also remember that this will be a working machine
and it will make money. Parts availability and quick turn-around time(s) on break-downs might be a very
important consideration.

No use you buy at bargain price and parts are all ex-japan/china with eg. a 4 week backorder time...........
In such a case it would cost your more money, as you will actually loose money while waiting.
