Bit of a misguided comment. No bike can run on water and when they put clean fuel in back at the bivouac it started and ran fine.

Don't go and spoil a good story with facts  :biggrin:

Yes, it is obvious that the contaminant in the fuel damaged that engine.

But like Altie said, the clutch were fine, supertough those Jap clutches.
