Nah, I'll stick to coffee shops, even wimpy if needs must. Sure, I like my coffee and those little brewing kits look the biznis, but when you add it to the mini compressor, puncture kit, sat nav, camera, drone, snake bite kit, and all the other clutter that's so essential to carry, but where to put it all, I tell ya I find it hard to stuff it all into my pockets.  :o

'Coz I'm old fashioned and I like my bike to look basic and unencumbered, that's why I'm not enamoured with all the showy and expensive jewellery cases and make up boxes that so many moffies like to bolt on to their bikes.  :pot: :pot: :peepwall:

So I'll take pot luck with coffee shops, good bad or mediocre. ;)

Jokes aside, I carry a .5 litre Isosteel flask which holds three small cups of coffee. Usually more than enough to get me to a place where I can get a refill.  I also carry a small French press with which I can make a brew if I run out and at overnight stops. I used to carry a Bialetti, but because I’m a lazy SOB, I find the French press more convenient.

Is the Bialetti a schlep only because you would have to carry around the heating equipment or is there another reason?

I have  a couple of Bialettis in different sizes (genuine and knock offs) and they all work the same. With the french press I just need hot water, which i can carry in my flask or beg  from filling stations or other roadside businesses. It is also much easier and quicker to use it to brew a fresh batch of coffee to fill up the flask
