Relax mense, "Hondnaai" is nie n geregistreerde handelsmerk van die Honda motor korporasie nie, net my eie troetelnaampie vir n bobaas maatskappy.

Does anyone care to take a guess as to why all the Yamaha Dakar bikes blew up this year? I'm guessing they were using YamaLube....    :pot: :imaposer:

I actually like Yamaha as a brand, their new Tenere is great, it's just Bidvest that screwed them.   (poor language fixed)

I agree with the basic content of that.
It's Yammies local agent mainly to blame for the dismal sales figures they attain, their skyhigh pricing offputting first, backed up by their poor spares supply chain.
This has & does not bode well for the brand, as I have said pushing it toward a niche brand slowly however surely.

Yamaha does not worry about a smaller than small market such as SA, ultimately.

As the Chinese brands are allowed more "eco" leeway than the Japanese, and our economy keeps crumbling, the Jap quality costing more will make place more and more for Indian built KTM's, and

the Chinese brands.

It is a turning circle, and quality suffers.

Somebody once said:
Yamaha lost interest in Dakar many years ago because they wanted to spend their money in the blue ribbon class of racing....

And then later said:
Only production class bikes should be used in the Dakar, this will make it a even playground.....

And then even later said:
Yamaha have lost interest in all forms of racing, because they have realized that you dont have to win on Sunday to be able to sell on Monday.....

They will most probably venture into this market now that they have proven their worth! KTM has been making a killing with their Rental spares and sales of their Raley machines!

This "killing" they made did not translate to better reliability for the man in the street. Fortunately Honda has that mastered already.

EXC machines op straat is baie betroubaar.
Ek dog my uitleg van hoeveel parte gedeel word tussen 450RR en 450EXC, sou dit duidelik maak??

That's an easy one.

Allow me to predict that Yamaha will again score zero of the aforementioned titles in 21.

But I agree, it's silly of me to drag Yamasuck into a thread that is about Honda, a championship winning brand.

While I cannot argue that Hondnaai is indeed a championship brand, guess who have been year on year their biggest challenger, often beating them?

Hint; King Kenny, Steady Eddie, Racy Rainey, etc.....
Was daai die jare voor hulle die kniee op die teer gesit het ? Ek ken nie daai ouens nie net vir Marc Marquez, Rossi en Mick Doohan.
