I actually like Yamaha as a brand, their new Tenere is great, it's just Bidvest that screwed them.   (poor language fixed)

For Dakar, Honda now has to deepen the field.
They have proven that the CRF is the real deal, not only in 1 day desert races like Baja 1000, but also Dakar.

This rally bike needs to be made accessible to the public asap, else KTM young bloods like Sanders will inventively take back the crown.

I agree with the basic content of that.
It's Yammies local agent mainly to blame for the dismal sales figures they attain, their skyhigh pricing offputting first, backed up by their poor spares supply chain.
This has & does not bode well for the brand, as I have said pushing it toward a niche brand slowly however surely.

Yamaha does not worry about a smaller than small market such as SA, ultimately.

As the Chinese brands are allowed more "eco" leeway than the Japanese, and our economy keeps crumbling, the Jap quality costing more will make place more and more for Indian built KTM's, and

the Chinese brands.

It is a turning circle, and quality suffers.

Allow me to predict that Yamaha will again score zero of the aforementioned titles in 21.

But I agree, it's silly of me to drag Yamasuck into a thread that is about Honda, a championship winning brand.

While I cannot argue that Hondnaai is indeed a championship brand, guess who have been year on year their biggest challenger, often beating them?

Hint; King Kenny, Steady Eddie, Racy Rainey, etc.....
