I have replaced mine. Using a dremmel to cut it open. The replacement (cr2035) does not last as well as it needs to be solderd on. If not it might not aways make contact. If you have the correct solder iron it goes quick but if not it struggles and battries get damaged.
I have removed 3 diffrent size battries from 4 sensors i have. Seems like they just put anything in there. (Cr1620,cr2025 cr2035)
There is a video on youtube that explains the process but i'm not sure if they solder it back in.
I use some electrical tape over the sensor hole to prevent the cuttings to block/damage it.
Then cover it back up with epoxcy.
