tyre pressure sensor pap

well i have a 2009/2010 model , and the pressure sensor for the back wheel seems to have died , i gues its the battery

anyone here replace the batteries , aint gonna buy a new sensor
just wanna have fun , and ride ... and ....... ride

I have replaced mine. Using a dremmel to cut it open. The replacement (cr2035) does not last as well as it needs to be solderd on. If not it might not aways make contact. If you have the correct solder iron it goes quick but if not it struggles and battries get damaged.
I have removed 3 diffrent size battries from 4 sensors i have. Seems like they just put anything in there. (Cr1620,cr2025 cr2035)
There is a video on youtube that explains the process but i'm not sure if they solder it back in.
I use some electrical tape over the sensor hole to prevent the cuttings to block/damage it.
Then cover it back up with epoxcy.

Het diesefde probleem.
Volg die Renoster-metode : "Kop-af en beur-vorentoe"

Gooi weg en haal die liggie uit.

Voor bikes dit gehad het, het ons lekker sonder dit gery. Dis onnodig

Matriek getuigskrif 1979: ........... is 'n vriendelike seun met volop selfvertroue. Hy tree soms vreemd op. Die skool se beste wense vergesel hom.

Ek het my 2009 GS se pap agterwiel sensor battery so 18 maande terug vervang en sover werk dit perfek.

Die geheim (om die soldeerdery te vermy) is om 'n battery te kry waarvan die terminale klaar aan gespot weld is - sien aangehegde foto.

Die battery-tipe se kode is CR2032/1HF en het my R25.55 gekos.

Het vegeet om te noem dat die CR2032/1HF tipe battery oor die toonbank van RC Components in Midrand beskikbaar is - waar ek myne gekry het.

Aangesien die waarskuwingsliggie meer as net n pap band aandui het ek nie eers oorweeg om dit uit te haal nie. Ek sien die liggie as n veiligheidsmaatreel  veral wanneer ek op spoed vroegtydig oor n banddrukverlies ingelig kan word.

Omdat ek my GS so standard moontlik wil hou, wou ek ook nie Chinese aftermarket sensors of soos Mr T n hele nuwe stelsel installeer nie.
 
Ek het toe besluit om met my beperkte tegniese vaardigheid te probeer om net die battery te vervang en watter bevredigende ondervinding - veral na BMW my ongeveer R3000.00 daarvoor wou vra.
