Ons steur ons min aan snelheidsgrense, ons staan en ry ens ens ens. Verskil is ons doen dit veilig (behalwe dalk die spoed ding). Ons velle en ons gebeentes wat eerste in die slag is, so ons let daarop om nie seer te kry nie. In dieselfde oomblik sorg ons dat ander ook nie seerkry nie. Veral as daar 'n pillion by is.
 99% van ons hier ry ook motorvoertuie. Verskil is ons kyk uit vir bikers en bikes.
Een oomblik van nie dink nie kan onmeetbare skade aan 'n persoon en sy binnekring doen.

Ek stem heelhartig saam, as bikers kyk ons uit vir bikes, maar die teenoorgestelde geld ook. n Nie-biker gaan nie bike-bewus wees nie, ons as ryers moet daardie rol vervul en vir hulle uitkyk.

Ek het al self met n motor gedraai, en agterna gedink. Dit gebeur.

Defensive riding is essential but it wonít save you when a car does something this erratic. Imagine cruising along at just 40 and suddenly a brick wall pops up 10m in front of you. Thatís like 1s to impact and your brain needs half a second just to register and react. Seriously it happens that quick. Take that up to just 80? Good luck

Absolutely, defensive riding by the most awake of us only goes so far.

Centurion girls like making U turns and donnering straight on at Fyndraai....

That is what happened to me, simply no time to react not even to throw the bike down. Hit the car at less than 60 km/h. I know I had the brakes locked but too little too late.
