Mobile Bike Mechanic?? Fourways area?
« on: February 17, 2021, 09:15:01 am »
Morning Lads.
Out of curiosity is there anyone / are there any Mobile Mechanics in the JHB area. (Fourways) - My KTM 1050 needs some love.  changed the oil recently and all is awesome but need  back brake pads done, need an air cleaner change, if not clean, and just one of two niggly things that i'd like help with . Out of warranty so no wanting to pay KTM prices, Its due the 30K service which I know is a big one, but i just dont have 8,000 < to spend on a service right now. Shes been immaculately looked after, so I will do the 30k service when im able but for now, a good once over will need to do.

PM me ??

The stuff you want to do is all pretty easy man. If you changed the oil yourself you’re more than capable of changing the pads and the air filter.

The 30k service includes checking and setting the valve tolerances, so ya that is much more involved. Do the rest yourself and save the money for that, and maybe speak to one of the KTM Indy guys on this forum for a price on the valve check.

Thanks gents - and thanks Roadhawg.... my boet when it comes to mechanics i have 6 thumbs.... clueless. Oil change was a breeze. BUT anyhoo. Sending her in for a whole once over. Valves etc. Has 2 brand new tyres, so I figure screw it.. Send it in, do it properly. she will literally then be the cleanest 1050 around.  Thanks for the suggestions...  :thumleft:
