Polish up that helmet of yours, Honda Quest 2021 will be happening.

Minimum, 3 qualifying Bootcamp events to meet riders and see their riding abilities.

One each in Gauteng, Eastern Cape and of course, the home of Adventure riding; the Western Cape

Anyone can enter, you just need a current bike licence, a will to go on the trip of a lifetime and some off-road skills (You don't have to be a riding god, much of the skills you will need will be learnt along the way if you're a little out of your depth).

Dates and details will follow.

Anyone in South Africa or anyone in the world?   :pot:

Let's speak offline - Just had an idea :thumleft:

I respect you too much to waste your time.  I'm not in good enough shape to even tryout, but I will be hopefully by next year.

I'm not coming over until I'm on my A game, so I can show some of these girls on this forum how it's done!

I would not worry about the ride if I was you, rather the posse that's going to come after you once they know you here   :imaposer:
...dis nooit te laat om n happy childhood te he nie !

Build a sidecar they said. It will be fun they said. Ja-nee !

Fantastic news,  For me this is a true adventure event, especially for people that like performing in competitive group events where it's not about the individual, but rather the team effort.  I saw how much someone like @Minxy grew through an event like this and I have a lot of respect for anyone that takes part in it - they all finish as winners.  Personally I would never enter  but I certainly enjoy watching and following the Quest event. @Hardy de Kock , hierdie ding kan nog mooi groei  ;)

@Kamanya - maybe you should cross the western cape border and see what the rest of SA has to offer before claiming that title.  Like @Xpat said many times before, you are actually the most limited province ito adventure riding although being the most active in terms of actual offroad adventure riding.

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:
I love not Man the less, but Nature more"

Have always maintained that Natal has more adventure per kilometer than any other province. Multiply this by ten when wet.

EC as well, but we lack sand.  When wet it becomes interesting.

Thanks Johan - appreciate the comment.

ITO the Cape being our choice - Kaleo offers us everything we need for the final boot camp, and the rest of the WC and NC offers the exact challenges and camps we are looking for. We also have a 62% representation out of the WC when it comes to the applications. Most importantly for me, we have never had any crime, corruption issues on any trip in the WC or Northern Cape.
I have traveled this country extensively and I have to admit that you guys are right - We are truly blessed to live in a country where we have adventure trails within a few miles from our homes, no matter where in the country we live.
You can't blame Kamanya for loving his homeground O0
