SA bikers attacked and killed in N Moz 6/4/21. Any truth in this?

Well if so, dare I say it was completely avoidable. Must be a fool to travel around N Moz at the moment.

saw a news report last night that this was all about the fact the oil companies are not investing into the communities, and its not the religious war, that's the coverup they are making it out to be so they get international support. its apparently this and what the old toppie was saying , who has been there since the 70s,  its about the fact that the locals are unhappy that they are not benefitting from minerals and oil/gas, just the top leadership are, and that they want farming support, subsidized fertilizer and investments etc from government. so its internal not external.
Bike history:

Yes, that whole situation has been exploited by ISIS, rural folk don't have the capacity to pull off a coordinated attack like this one, they had a helping hand.
It's the end of the road as we know it and I feel fine.

The video circulating on social media of the burnt bikers originate from Tanzania where a few locals raided a petrol bunker which exploded.

So basically give us free stuff or we'll kill you and burn your plant down. Got it.

Africans have been dying of ellende whilst sitting on untold wealth since the beginning of time. Are incapable of developing it themselves but won't allow anyone else to develop it either. They want all or nothing.  So now they'll have nothing.

The muslim influence started when old Mohamed wanted more black concubines for his harem... The whole east coast of Africa was raided by the Arabs for centuries, nothing has changed.

well this kind of thinking is probably at the root cause of the problem.  :deal: and why africa is they way it is, greed and narrow thinking, pillage and take everything leave nothing behind for the poor sods who live there. then complain when they complain. marvelous.

I have no idea, just watched an news report on ENCA that I listened to as carefully as I could, this old guy clearly has been involved in the reporting side for decades and I chose to take his input on board. its dire out there, they followed one guy living in 15 sqm shack who is miner for 1 euro a day as an example. pitiful existence. no hope, no chance of improving anything at anytime. so for them, its life or death. anyway his take was that the government don't want investigators to come in as it will expose the root cause and their support will stop. as its an internal conflict being dressed as something else. I would not know if it is true or not, as there is clearly a mountain of news saying otherwise. who to believe? just sounded like an interesting take to what is a popular narrative.
