Has anyone here travelled through Iran.

I only hear amazing stories.

Carnet is an issue so if anyone has experience please share.

My reasearch says i can get one in Dubai from automobile associstion there but need so AA to give me a letter of no objections even if SA AA own website says they got zero juristicion in Iran and dont provide carnet for Iran.
Also need to pay roughly 2000euro deposit on bike, refund on exit of bike out of Iran and return of carnet to Dubai.

Also some Iranians can provide service of fixers per say they somehow guarantee the deposit for you so no deposit per say but then you do a temp import. No carnet. Again stories i read but this is only at sime borders apparently. Where im crossing in Bandar Abbas the fixer says doesnt work there. No idea why.

Any one got info on doung temp import in Iran and other info at all??
