Lunch in Plett - 6 December

Lunch in Plett

I felt the need to go for a swim and posed the idea to Gromit who agreed, and we got Curlytop (Gromit’s better half) to Join as well as Super Mario on his brand new 800.

We left PE at 06h30 on the R102 through the Van Standens Pass to J Bay and Humansdorp and on to the Oude Bosch Farmstall near Kareedouw for breakfast.

We then went across to Kareedouw and slabbed it a section on the R62 through the Langkloof.

A little further we turned onto Gravel

Just before we went through a lovely valley I rode over a huge snake and turned back to take a photo but was to slow as he moved fast into the bush, At home I looked up in on of my books and identified it as a Cape Cobra, something I haven’t seen before in the bush, we normally see plenty Puff Adders.

Past the “Poor man’s Friend” which seemed to be cheap Accommodation.

The further we went the prettier the area became

We the went on to Avontuur where Bakkie was waiting to join us on his way back from George

Are you waiting for your Tyre machine before you gonna change that back tyre??? I heard Gromit say that he wants to practice...... When you get the machine we can have a little comp between Gromit and the machine... I'll bring the beers!

From Avontuur we entered the Prince Alfredâ??s Pass

This is what I came for to swim in the Rock Poolâ??s

Bakkie to the Rescue !!

Feeling cool and refreshed we continued through the Pass

We then stopped for a quick lunch in Plett at Thyme and Again before filling up in The Cragâ??s and then going through Natures Valley and then the old Pass on the R102

We Turned off just after Oude Bosch and took the Gravel Highway towards Oyster Bay and onto Humansdorp
I unfortunately never took many pics on this road as I was enjoying it on the fast sections with Pea Gravel you can do awesome Power Slides out of the Corners especially with my smooth back tyre.

From Here we made a quick stop in Humansdorp and I parted ways as I had to get to my Staff Party.
Thanks to everyone I really enjoyed the company and the ride
