Robbie's Pass is one of those legendary passes that we all know about but seldom get the chance to ride.
Unless you're lucky enough to have a support van in the area it's a mission getting through with a load of luggage, camping gear and extra fuel.
Once every couple of years I take groups on a tougher Kaokoland loop that include passes like Robbie's and Van Zyl's Pass in reverse. We're doing another next month (June 13-22), so here's a taster of the beginning of the pass. Sadly no good video of the climb out which can be a real bugger at times.
