Easter weekend a few years back a bunch of us were on a 3 day ride.A storm was brewing, so we gunned for the shelter of the Nieuwoudville garage. There was this Soutie standing around with a few camera men.He showed interest in our group and start talking to one of our group,Barry Shaw.Asked Barry if he would mind interviewing him about his old AT. Barry being a smooth talker, went on, explaining the simplicty of his trusted AT. While Barry was talking to this stranger, the rest of us tried to get into some sort of rain gear.In the end the man introduced himself to Barry as Henry Cole. The rest of the conversation :  Barry: "Now what do you do for a living?" Henry: " I m riding bikes. Barry: Fuck ,you are a lucky bastid!  And off we went.  That evening at our campsite ,Barry googled this Henry chap. The next moment  he yelled: Boys, I m famous! I talked to a world famous film maker!   I think Henry Cole was amused by the fact that none of us knew him.
Ha ha what an unforgettable adventure we had together! Henry who? Was the buzz word around the campfire that night. Although I had made the group now considerably late for the overnight stop and rain was looming! I must say I still get a few die hard motorcyclist groupies asking me if I am the guy with the "Old Africa Twin". I just answer, Barry who? :)

It was 2012 and the the Old School and Thumper Bash. Most memorable was that it was Bokveld's introduction to Wilddogs and the culture shock he had  :lol8:
