Good 1 agreed!!

So the news on my GS is not all bad - water did get in through the air intake but no damage done fortunately (due to the action taken at the time) so the bike will be back on the road today or tomorrow - GS rides again!!!!!

So we picked up the GS last night and I been riding it all over town today - must have done 100km and its running perfectly - I reckon I had a lucky eskape!!!

That's really good news. Any engine damage could have resulted in a hefty bill. Need to look at that snorkel mod for future rides. Is the battery OK?

Sure Beemer Man is waiting for my call to have the snorkel mod done!

Battery seems ok - they tested it and was putting out the voltage but it must be near its sell-by date so will keep the jumper cables with me!

So the airbox was filled with water, which it kept sucking in causing the motor to falter?

Guess I must get that snorkel mod done too.

Something like that yes - I thought I got all the water out by removing the spark plugs and turning the engine because after that it idled for about 5 min with no probs, but as we rode away it must have pulled more moisture in - so it may have also helped to open the air filter box and dry it out when I did the plugs
