We are a few guys currently working on a old/cheap bike trip. At the moment it's a 2stroke trip, but no 4 stroke will be denied, it would have to be small and cheap though.

There is me on a 1976 DT175C, Gideon on a 1979 TS185, Richard McCleery on a 2015-ish AG100, Tinie van der Westhuizen on a 1990's TS185, etc.

People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day. And doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something.

I was in contact with @Kobus Myburgh about it. Maybe it's time to resurrect it?

Yes, I think it's time, but I also believe that finding people to actually, eventually go on such trip would be difficult.

But having a small group is also a good thing, often.

Mayhem (Dennis) came around this morning and we spoke about it. The biggest step is to set a date. Once there is a departure date and a loose route it becomes a reality. I am very keen to go on a small bike trip. I have a Ct110 or two unfinished XR 400R to choose from.

If you enjoyed this one have a look at the 5 miles to hell and the $500 challenge. Epic stuff as well.

Do it guys, did exactly this type of trip in March.. 1400km through the Karoo, smallest bike was 100cc chappy hybrid, largest was a 250. What an absolute jol. Had a backup vehicle so we didnít have to carry luggage etc. issues... 1 spark plug, removed 1 Centre stand and 1 puncture...
