Dunlop D606 front tyre on a big bike
« on: June 18, 2021, 05:21:41 pm »
Couldn't get a MotoZ or Mitas E13 locally so bought this for the 890....
Anyone used it on a big bike? I don't care what it feels like on tar, just interested in offroad performance and mileage on a bigger bike?

Not many that I know, liked that front tyre. But I did.

It didn't last very long on a KLR but on your 890, it should last forever ..........................

Joking aside, I liked it for the side knobs. Great for mud and sand. Seemed to climb outta ruts quite well.

On the road it's OK but it's a knobbly .........

Sal nie hoe spoed doen met hom nie, maar op my XR600 Hou hy al 10k km, teen 120km/h max.

Used these without problems front and rear on the smaller DR350'S.
FYI - On the advice of Jimbo we ran the fronts  opposite to the suggested direction of travel.
I didn't question his theory he just had too much experience - went with it no probs.

Did you fit it on your 990?

No, only the KLR.

I'd be a sceptical about the 170km/h ..................... the middle knobs tend to deform a bit  as time goes on
