Dammit, daai is n ongelooflike trip!!!

My gedagtes loop weer wyd

Saw 2 groups of riders; one bunch on what looked like CRF250L's and a bunch of KTM's with a couple T7's.

All heading in the opposite direction.

Most towns that I went through, were probably built in the 800's so they are mostly built on a hill, with some kind of fort/castle for protection, leaving open spaces between towns.

I rarely encountered any traffic or people on those minor roads.
I probably spoke to less then 10 people in those 5 days.

It was great!

Hi,

In Spanje is die kos goedkoper.

Hierdie was 'n baie lekker sappige T-been met bier = Eur12

Teen 20km/l het petrol in Spanje my +- Eur40 gekos, vir +-700km
in Frankryk +- Eur56 vir 700km
Per nag betaal jy tussen 6 en 10eur om te kamp, dis nou as jy warm stort wil he, anders slaan jy sommer kamp op in die veld

Day 6.
This is the last day of riding  :'(

Had me a nice breakfast at Pedro's, oiled the chain, checked the oil levels and  :ricky:

Heading in the direction of Artajona, South of Pamplona, the place famous for the bullfights

I really liked this setup.

The GPS is much more accurate and the compass made it easier to see which paths I should take.
I like using the phone to get a good idea of my overall progress. I started doing this from day 2, after running out of time on day 1

These things were way louder than I ever expected.
Granted there were many of them and the wind was proper, but still took me by surprise

My route led me to  Cerco de Artajona

What it used to look like (At some stage)

In the year 1085 the fortress began to be built by the canons of Saint Sernin de Toulouse and it was completed in 1109, due to its strategic location it suffered many battles for its control and was rebuilt on several occasions, especially in the 14th century during the reign. of Carlos II the Bad

Took a left turn after passing this joint where some folks were celebrating a wedding, it seemed.

Wished I could crash the party, but my 1 week old biker clothes would make that a bit hard  :imaposer:

This path lead to Mendigorrķa, where my 'abort' route started, leading me back into France  :'(

I still had to dodge the cops on the Spain/France border, as my PCR test was by now long expired  :patch:
