Dumb and Dumber
« on: July 16, 2021, 12:28:32 am »
So being all chuffed changing out my XTZ fork seals I decide to give the forks a bit of a work out to check for that lekker smooth action with new oil and all. Putting my weight on the fork leg but hands still slippery from the service I lose my grip and get a 43mm stancion right in the ribs ! So there you have it, rib injury and I did not even fall off my bike  :o

Sounds more like a slippery accident.
Nowhere near as dumb as the okes cleaning their chain with a rag on the bottom part feeding
into the rear sprocket with the resultant fingers destroyed between the sprocket and chain. That always amazed me :eek7:

Yeah, not that I would ever be so dumb as to endanger my fingers in that way, but I lost the long plastic spout of an aerosol lube can that way, and it sent a shiver through me thinking about it.
I could perhaps do the fork leg trick though.  :-\

Hope you didn't damage your helmet. Ribs are bad enough.  :eek7:

Ouch, rib injuries suck.
If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it.  The felon does not fear the police, judge, nor jury.  The felon must be taught to fear his victim.
