Ek het presies dieselfde gesien toe ek my XL600 se voorwiel afgehaal het  :-\

Ek wonder of mens dit kan laat regmaak of dit liewers veiliger is om 'n nuwe rim te koop?

I see that you have already reinforced it with duct tape so I don't think you have to worry about that crack.  Unless of course you will actually ride your bike, then it seems like a no brainer to fix it in a more durable fashion.  Considering how relatively inexpensive a new rim is I would not mess around with getting it welded and straightened after welding.

This is a project bike that I'm busy with. I only discovered the crack (and duct tape) when I took the  tire of the rim.
I will probably replace the rim. The plan is to ride the bike when done.

My rim op my ou CRF450X het ook so kraak gehad.  Ek het hom laat weld en daarna paar maal op die MX baan gery.  Nou ek land kort op al die jumps so hy het maar houe gevat en nooit weer gekraak tot ek hom verkoop het nie.

Baie dankie Kobus, ek gaan die wiele vir iemand vat om te laat "re-lace" en sal maar luister wat die persoon sÍ.
