After 8 years with my Sidi adventures I have just ordered a pair of the Leatt 5.5 Enduro boots.  Haven't ridden with them yet but the fit on trying them on was quite comfy.

Nimmo, those Leatts is comfy, and protects.

It moves away from the more traditional look of the Gearnes below it but gives the same protection as said Gearnes.

I had Fox Comp5, many dissed it but it worked. As well as the Alpinestars Tech5 I think, looked the same, did MX and adv riding with them and they worked like a charm.

I see a lot more moulded sole boots nowadays. Less and less stitched on soles.

The Alpinestars I fitted was also very comfy boots but just did not fit my foot shape.

Regte egte stewels met goeie ondersteuning is vir my vrek ongemaklik, my enkels en kuite voel amper asof ek reeds in 'n ongeluk betrokke was.

I have a pair of full-length Formas that I got from @roxenz on this forum ( for free!). Amazing comfort ( done several 10-12 hour days in them recently).

I used to have shorties ( ie mid-length) and I kept klapping my shin on my foot pegs when coming short on technical stuff (Not so with the Formas ...) , so I would caution you to go longer rather than shorter.

:naka:
Vir elke dag dra sal ek dit sterk aanbeveel. :headbang:

After reading this thread all day, I went off to Ace Sports, Bike Kings and Trac-Mac this afternoon.

The Leatt 4.5 is quite comfy compared to the other mx boots, but it started hurting the bridge of my foot while I stood there staring at the other boots.

Ace didn't have the Sidi Adventure 2's in my size.

At Bike Kings I tried the Leatt and Fox boots. The Leatt hurt a tad as mentioned. The fox was very comfortable but felt like one big foam padded shoe with not much support.

I went to Trac-Mac and tried on the Sidi Adventure 2's. Hot damn they are comfortable. The inside of the bottom of the shoe feels like I put on a well made pair of office leather shoes. But it was just over R8k.

Then I saw the Sidi x-3 MX / Enduro boots. It was listed at R6600. They were just as comfortable for me as the Adventure 2's, albeit the boot comes up higher and has 4x clips instead of the 2+velcro from the adventure 2's.

I felt it was a good mix between offroad and adventure. Got some discount and paid R6000 for the shoes. I see Ace has them listed for R8 000 online though.

Looking forward to riding in them now  :laughing4:

Ek moet saamstem, the crossfire 2 is vir 'n MX boot, baie gemaklik.

As little as possible Velcro fasteners, noting more irritating than stopping frequently to re-fasten Velcro .straps & flaps.
