Padded cycle pants help me to some extent, but since I'm on a X/challenge the extent is limited, and I'm talking about 150km max.  :bootyshake: :xxbah:

I find that when riding on tar or even open dirt roads this becomes an issue. On dirt where I have to stand up often, it's not an issue at all.
It helps if I stop and get off the bike at least every two hours or so.

On my XR650L it was particularly bad, until I fitted a Seat Concepts seat. It's amazingly comfortable.

And then saddle time also helps. The more you ride, the less of an issue the sore butt becomes.

Works like a bomb. Have done multiple 1000km + day trips / touring. No issues and easy to remove and install.

I have one.  It works well, but only doubles the distance I can go before the posterior tries to kill me.  Say about 600km instead of 300.

My knees also hurt like hell after a few hours on the bike.  I foten stand up and do a few leg bends while riding.  It helps.

I sit with one butt cheek off the saddle, resting on seat with inside of thigh. Works for me  :-\

I've done an iron butt, we completed 1800 km in around 20 hours. Also have done a 1000 km day to Mpumelanga and some tours to other provinces.

Firstly one needs to get off the bike regularly, I try to do it around max every 350 km. Get off the bike, stretch your legs. Grab a quick bite to eat / drink and fill up with fuel. On the bike move back / forward on the seat to stop cramps (hydration also plays a part in this). Standing up helps.

A big thing for me is prep work as well. Before any long trip I start stretching every day, especially legs. I prep my forearms in advance (no cruise control). I also try to get in at least two longer day trips (do around 400 / 500 km). Make sure your gear is 100%. Apart from that enjoy, pushing long distances  :thumleft:

As jy upper bars op jou bike het sny hulle af. Dis wat die vibrasie veroorsaak.

Another medically proven option used by bikers worldwide

https://bikegear.co.za/airhawk-air-rider-comfort-motorcycle-soft-seat/

Does not compress like silicone/ gel seats and adapts to ones movements

Personally used it from here to Mongolia

Ek was nou af St Lucia met die bike en terug vanaf Warnee beach. My gat, nek en bene was behoorlik seer. Nie gewoond om so lank te ry. Ek koop sommer weer n lekker skaapvel.

Ek dink dis hier waar die knoop le, by "nie gewoond aan so lank ry nie".

Om lank in die saal te kan wees kort oefening, en die enigste oefening daarvoor is om lank in die saal te sit.
