We rode to Ceres then Op Die Berg to The Oasis where Gert greeted us and invited us in for a cold refreshment.
The Oasis , as most of you know is a DS Biker freindly little B & B with extremely freindly owners.

1 X BMW 1200 practiced falling twice , no casualties .

N[]vA`s put his bike down in a big puddle.
The bike obviously didnt have enough rest , so the soft luggage decided to go into the back wheel and get
minced.
He lost his tent and some supplies.

The Eisselbank road is in bad condition and is not recommended for newbs.

Wupperthal , as Wes said earlier , petrol pump was out of order.

`H` organised with the Domonies son for petrol , so we bought 10 Litres from them.

Next stop was at Mertenshof , 13 km down the road , the farm on the left at the Biedouw Valley Crossing.
The farm is owned by Barry & Mariette.tel. no. is 027-482-2845.
The farm has been in their family for 5 generations and they are the are really great hosts.
It costs R50 /night and is worth every penny.Hot water , clean facillities , wood available ,beers , cooldrinks and lots more.

The big house in the pic can sleep 17 as is also available as accomodation.
Barry opened the hous so we could use the fridge.
They have wood stocked up and sold us some cold beers and cooldrinks too.

There is a fresh water dam on the farm and Barry`s wife said we are more than welcome to swim in it.
In the dam we found some bamboo strapped together which was aptly named The SAS Booze Cruise.
We took a couple of beers with us and chilled out floating around the dam.

We camped under the trees.

NEVER buy meat in Wupperthal !
We bought some braai packs in Wupperthal , they had a lot of red spice on and we couldny make out what meat it was.The packs had a meat lable of sorts on , anyway we took it out of the packet and you could clearly see that no butcher had cut it up.

It looked more like it had been chopped up with a hatchet.
We braai`d it , but it still looked suspect so we decided to terf it all.Would you believe , we found out later it was goats meat , passed off as lamb!.

Anyway , we sat around Camelmans tent , looked up at the stars and was entertained by the ever famous Mountainboy.

Day 2
Bradley`s and Paramed had organised to come through and spend Saterday with us and sleep over too.
We decided to stay another night at this beautiful place .

In the Morning we left a message with the Farmer(Barry) for Bradley and Paramed , And headed for Nieuwoudville.
We headed North and at the T-Junction , Left Clanwilliam , we turned Right on a road that leads you down to the Doring River and over a cement bridge at GPS 31.933 S   19.2249 E.

About 1 km up the road there is a turn off to your left called ` Moodverloor and this takes you along The ROOIBOS HERITAGE ROUTE.
Wow , what an awsome ride , plus minus 117 km later we got to Nieuwoudsville.
There are a lot of gates to open and close , but a beautiful route to travel.
