While I agree with his standing vs sitting and sprung/ unsprung weight, center of gravity plays a part.
Sitting on the seat vs standing on the seat, the combined center of gravity is way higher for the latter.

Ek kies 'n ander pad as ek sulke diep sand moet ry. Laas wat ek daai strandsand gery het was seker die 1981 Toyota 1000 Desert Race.  Op 20 sou ek 'n swart mamba in plakkies en 'n PT broek vang en oopmond soen voor ek 'n kiekie van hom neem.
Beny 'n man sy spaarsaamheid en sy volharding en jy hoef hom nie sy onafhanklikheid te beny nie.

For Enduro I run 1bar , adventure riding 2 bar for road and dirt , I am too lazy to continually change pressures and too stupid to notice a difference , I just ride .
In Enduro racing I have seen guys that stand and others that sit and I have seen both winning races , for me personally , on easy going terrain I sit , there is a saddle and I use it . In rocky , technical going , or when the speed picks up then I stand .
I don't think there is a hard and fast rule about standing or sitting , people need to try both and see which works for them , and FFS just because the courses laid on for a certain brand advocate meerkatting does not mean it is the gospel .

Stem nogal saam, ek ry vir die lekkerte nie om 'n hartaanval te kry van bike optel nie... dieselfde geld vir modder... ek los die grandstanding nou vir die onder 30 manne en manninne... :sip:
