Damn, dis oulik. Nou soek hy jou weer as hy daar so hover ?

Seriously impressive.

Ek het een van daai basic drones, wat jy met handgebare kan beheer.
Harde manier geleer om nie 'n vlieg weg te klap terwyl jy besig is met die storie nie.

Some whale action here at the coast, this is the Mavic "Zoom" which has built in optical zoom that you can control via a finger wheel, which means you can get pretty close shots without having to go close and disturb anything.

Ag moet nou nie lieg nie, dit was toe jou hand iets doen terwyl jou drone toevallig bo jou buurvrou se swembad hover en jou cover toe sumier weggee!
'n vlieg..... oulik uitgedink moet ek se!  :thumleft:

Question Ettienne : is that shallow water swimming or a shart ?

On Quest coming off Gannaga pass, Willy's drone was flown to follow the group down near sunset. He let it go near the top and then whilst I drove, he flew it down the pass shooting the bikes. 600 meters in elevation drop and about 6km later the drone was sending signals that the battery was getting low, however, the bikes and the stting sun was pretty spectacular and needed to be shot.

As Willy finally was bringing the drone down, it lost connection and by default tried to go back to where it started from. It was then that we lost it.

Willy siad that he was certain that though he'd lost control, the last thing he saw before he lost connection was the drone just going straight up to it's starting altitude. This meant that it would've fallen straight down again once the battery gave out.

An hour later of searching, we miraculously found it. It was pretty dmaaged, but less so than one would expect after falling 600m!

This happens quite often, it’s important to always have a “pre takeoff checklist” like any aircraft. Set your RTH home point but more importantly your RTH altitude. If you’re doing tracking from a car then you can set the drone to RTH to the controller instead of where you took off - but you have to lose a few drones to learn 🥶

😂😂 if you’ve ever smelt whales from close then you’d be inclined to think the latter 😂 #shartweek

Is this the end of the wortelgat road ?

what happened at the end?
did the drone 'over-shoot' and 'recover'?

It just parks itself once it loses you, here is another version where it actually does very well to see me turning underneath it then finds me again before losing sight and hovering

Very nice E2T. Amazing how technology is coming along. Interestingly I've just submitted my PhD on auto drones for examination, the last part of the title is '...A Case Study of South African Enduro Motorcycle Racers' and in it I make some predictions of what the future might hold. They are going to revolutionize coverage of certain sports.

Incredible, and bare in mind this feature I'm using is a good 4 years old already which is archaic in tech terms. The new rage is all about FPV drones as consumers have become well accustomed to seeing normal drone footage now

Gebruik maar external sfx en sit dit na die tyd in, op die KTM video het ek net sound op die phone record en dit gebruik.
