No man, Jimmi looked at a KTM. Now we all know that someone who looks at a KTM should be rescued, but slowly and one step at a time, First a DR, then when he's ready, a T7. :pot:

This is like the car scrapyards where, if they have a low-kilometre car to break up, they know and tell you the kays. It's when they "do not know" the kilometres done that you just know it's high mileage.

Agree  RUN  i had the same 98 , I had lots of problems with the engine. And yes cable clutch.

The 640 is one of the less reliable engines, and I have done about 5 of them, and I am not even a bike mechanic. Look on another thread, no high mileage 690's around either, and they've been around for

12 years......

Glad nie.
As jy n lae km een kan kry is dit dalk nog n opsie, maar n 20jaar ou KTM is selde n goeie idee.

Vir starters, discontinue KTM sommer net parte, so daar's n groot kans dat dit ook geld vir hierdie ou legend.

As ek so hier lees, was hierdie enjins meer bom as bombestand!

Moenie vergeet dat ek huidiglik nog ń mooi 990R saam met die T7 op stal het nie.

Dan mos ook al ń 2008 990 S en 2016 500 besit. Anders as @Rossdog, het ek geen oproepe van die nuwe eienaars ontvang nie.

Die S het my wel na ń Alfie Cox event, gevolg deur ń Lesotho rit, in Harrismith met ń stukkende brandstofpomp laat staan.

Just picked up on something: the Tripmaster has been swapped with a Garmin unit. So there goes the mileage, engine temp info, etc.

On that basis alone I would be walking away.

Aangaande die bike @JIMMI , dis nogals heelwat eenvoudiger, en kom ons vergeet gou van die twee vermoeiende strokes.
Dis n alreeds ou bike, en as hy goed lyk en lekker loop terwyl sy prys reg lyk.... gaan ry die ding?
Mens voel mos gou of dinge lekker loop en 'gel' (dis nie nagroom nie!), en dan word daar maar n muntjie opgegooi vir n Yay of Nay, tog?
Met niggies werk dit min of meer dieselfde origens!  :P
