Short report for a short trip-
I got in a great 2 day ride over the Heritage Day long weekend and clocked up just over 200km's of amazing Drakensberg dirt roads.
Accom was  in the Impendle District, about 40km's from Nottingham Road.

1st day I rode out to Vergelegen Nature Reserve, mostly on the Lower Lotheni Road which is always a good ride, with minimal to no other vehicles out. I arrived at the Vergelegen gate around 8:30am to find the access gate still locked. A little disappointing that they had not bothered to unlock the gates for the day but the destination was not my priority, the riding was, so I turned around and rode back to the uMkhomazi Nature Reserve which was  70km of beautiful dirt roads.
Met a great guy on route who was travelling from the Gauteng area to Underberg, on to Umtata, and then to Lisikisiki in the Transkei....and then back. (serious ride).

2nd day I rode the best tracks and ended up at Highmoor Nature Reserve which is one of the most amazing valleys I have seen.
Riding is seriously good for the soul......Very grateful.
