Source for submersible fuel line
« on: October 29, 2021, 09:22:29 am »
Anybody got a source for submersible fuel line. Must be SAE 30R10 spec, as its for in-tank FI applications. The replacement fuel pump kits for KTMs come with a normal piece of fuel pipe that swells when submerged in petrol. Just used my last piece of Gates hose. That specific pipe I imported about 4 years ago

I have previously bought submersible fuel hose from BMW. It was for a K-bike with in-tank fuel pump.

FUEL HOSE - 8X13 (meter) – Part Number 16 12 1 180 040

From the parts diagram summary: “Incorporates braiding to withstand fuel pressure. This hose is designed for use inside the fuel tank. The hose resists breakdown and deterioration while being immersed in gasoline.”

If you need help with Hosefit (after you make enquiries) then let me know; I have hoses for a hand-crank lube machine to collect in next few days, could collect for you, etc.

Great thanks

Edit- looks like a great lead. Will work out to R1000 for 1m instead of 30cm on eBay. I’m sort-off OK with that. Until I remember that it is R1000 for 1m tubing🤣
