A short ride report, or rather a longish photo report.

A while back a group of guys from East London arranged a get together at Kob Inn in the former Transkei.  The wife and I was invited to join the crowd and we happily accepted the invite.  For R650 per person for lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast, it was a no brainer.

The weather forecast the week before the outing did not look promising, the forecast was heavy rain on the Saturday, the day of the event.  Hopes were however high that it would change, and indeed, by Wednesday it looked great, only heavy rains the day before were forecasted.

Saturday arrived and the wife and I departed from King Willim’s Town to meet the East London lads at Kei Mouth.  We had real heavy rain the previous day and night, we hoped that the gravel roads would be reasonable dry.
The 1st stretch was tar, but as soon as we hit the gravel the heavy rains the previous night was visible.  The further we rode the worse it got.  It was rideable, but you had to concentrate.  With a couple of slip and slides and near mishaps, we arrived safely in Kei Mouth.

A few photo’s to Kei Mouth.
