PEAK CAPS
« on: November 08, 2021, 02:30:10 pm »
Just curios , do you take a peak cap along when on a trip , and if so where do you keep it?  Yes its packed in the pannier box when loaded but once you have reached your destination and you go out , used the bike , sit at a pub and wear the cap to keep you from sun burn , get back on the bike , where do you keep your cap?
I have on occasion tied it to the mirror stalk , but not keen as it could be damaged by the wind or ripped off the stalk and then its gone ,
I have just bought a new KTM cap and not keen to loose it .

Always have a cap on the bike.
Always in an easy to reach spot- tankbag or jacket pocket.

Most jackets have a nice big pocket low on the back, or in the tank bag

I carry a Khakie Hoed similar to what we had in the Army, they fold better than a Peak and offer superior  protection from the Sun.

Yes, a peak cap, as well as a proper hat.
Carried in either the tank bag, top box, my rucksack, or jacket pocket. Both the cap and hat are of the quick drying type that also folds very small.

I thin peak caps are not very effective against sun ...so I wear a big floppy hat with a wide brim ...it folds up lekker and gets stuffed in easy reach under a cargo net

I always have a baseball cap with me.
I just push the peak section into the front of my riding pants and then zip-up my jacket.

Have a cap in my backbox, they take up very little space and squeeze in most tight spots. Got to protect the bald head from the sun.

My tank bag always has my boeshoed(die son M... my!) and a cofederate leather cap form my club for meets and so on. As a rule i dont like hats, but the sun likes my voorkop.

Plenty of practical ideas there, don't need me to tell you that it fits into the 'bum' pocket of my jacket.

I use a floppy brimmed hat that folds easily into my tank bag when not in use. Having min hair means the sun cooks my scalp in no time
