Well done Yefimovich  :thumleft:

That is an awesome ride report. loved reading it and some excellent pictures too. You really did capture the moment  :ricky:

For your next trip, rather close to the Kestell turnoff on the opposite side of the road is a turnoff to Heuweltop, that should be your starting point next time.
Takes you up to the Monotsha border post in the clouds
From there you can go to Buthe Buthe, past Oxbow and then on to Sani from there. Not as exciting as your trip, but a different variation.

Cheers
 :ricky:

Great stuff Yefi!!

Glad I could inspire someone with our story. But now the Lesotho bug has bitten you and you're going to want to go back again and again. All I can say is: Don't fight it. Go see the rest of it.
Don't look back, that's not where you're going.

HI THERE,I AM SO PLEASED WITH THESE PHOTO'S!!!

PHOTO NUMBER 4 & 5 IS SNAP SHOTS OF THE MOUNTAINS ON OUR FARM!!!!!!THE KOPPIE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE,ARE KNOWN IN AFRIKAANS TERMS AS TEPELKOP CAUSE LETS FACE IT,IF YOU LOOK AT IT FROM THE SIDE IT LOOKS LIKE A NIPPLE!!!

THEN THE MOUNTAIN FOLLOWING ON THE RIGHT ,THE DISTINCT KOPPIE IN THE MIDDLE UNDERNEATH THE HIGHEST CLOUD IS KNOWN AS RIBBOK KOP AS THERE IS ALOT OF RIBBOK!!

AS YOU FOLLOW THE ROAD,YOU GET TO THE NEK OF THE MOUNTAIN WITCH IS CALLED RETIEF'S NEK BECAUSE THAT WAS ONE OF PIET RETIEF'S ROUTES WITH THE GROOT TREK!!!!
IN SOTHO IT IS KNOWN AS "LEGALONG LA MANSI",REFERING TO THE PREVIOUS LAND  OWNER .  "LEGALONG" MEANING NEK AND "MANSI" REFERRING TO THE LAND OWNER-HERMAANS.

THATS THAT IN THESE PHOTO'S!!!ITS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF COUNTRYSIDE WITH ALOT OF HISTORY AND STORIES TO TELL!!!

THANX FOR CAPTUREING THESE PICS!!!IT MADE MY HEART WARM AS I  AM SITTING IN JHB AT HE MOMENT!!!

ENJOY!!!!

Fantastic Stuff!

I know exactly where you are coming from when you say that the scenery overwhelms the senses, We had this constantly in Swaziland.

I'm planing my Lesotho trip as I type this!
