People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day. And doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something.

Jip, true freedom and adventure (ok, they did have a camera crew) - we don't need fancy bikes with the all the latest expensive stuff possible.
All one really need is time, maybe a good friend or 2, pretty much any reliable bike, a few basic things and the right mindset

🤔 it's been a week since my last 2 day trip, a month since the last looong day ride and 3 months since our last 3 day trip...  The Karoo is calling me...

I have an e-book called "Sydney to London....The long ride home" written by Nathan Millward

He did that trip on a C90
"Riding a motorcycle is technology's closest equivalent to being a cowboy. Our modern horse has two wheels instead of four, but it's nervous system is appropriately rated in horsepower" Robert Edison Fulton jr. From his book "One Man Caravan"

Here is a nice video on the restoration of the said c90.Nice to watch and listen without the Mercans babbling on and making a noise.

He could have put a little more effort in on the frame.

If there is anyone needing Postie parts & Spares, there is a collector in KNYSNA Industrial area, who has a LOT of Postie stuff; he may or may not sell certain bits, but I will try and post a pic on Monday from my p.c. -

……I was sniffing around KNYSNA and Goerge for Petronalia recently, and whilst looking over a high wall at an interesting WOOD WORKING w/shop IN CASE they had any old signage, etc, through a window I could see10-odd Postie bodies / frames, and went back 3 times until I found the owner…!

His side hobby, he started collecting a few years back, and never got the time to start putting them together, and has plenty of those beautiful Chromed rear racks, tanks, the lot.

Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris - I might want some things, depending on what I decide to do with my impulse buy. Trying to go all original might end up a crazy venture, but a basic restomod might be on the cards

He overhauled that bike in no time, she is basically like new and well deserved!!

Spares is a non issue in the USA
You can get every single bit on that bike here for very reasonable prices
I am thinking of buying one next year over here if the borders open and I happen to come back again
Would be a very cool runabout
If you need spares you just need a friend on a working visa in the states that can bring you everything
