Ok not new (the Caballero, not the brand itself). Zongshen built engines. Just read a review by MCN's Neevesy and he rates it quite highly (and I rate his opinion quite highly)

I really don't understand the appeal of the Honda Trail ? I mean why would a XR125 for example not be a better all round bike ? Cheaper, bigger wheels for all types of terrain, bigger fuel tank, more comfortable seat, more comfy suspension  etc etc. Nee wat hou dit maar vir die Posman.

Unless you are a craft beer drinking hipster you would not understand the appeal :thumleft:

In many cases the Japanse are ridng on 1980's coat tails when it comes to DS bikes, time to catch a wake up. Worst offenders being Suzuki and Kawasaki.

I recon it has to do with the nostalgia factor. I own a 1969 Honda Z50 Mini Trail. In the US, you can buy a brand new, street legal model Z50. Not a practical bike at all, but I would still love to have one.

Pretty disappointing releases or lack thereoff from the bigger manufacturers!!!
That Aprilia seems legit though - dare I say it promises to be what the T7 should have been!!!
And damn I wouldn't mind that 125 Trial - listen Honda SA!!!

2 years of Covid and i'm surprised that there are ANY new models being released.  I think under the circumstances the new models that are coming out are brilliant, taking a bunch of cash for R&D to release it into pretty uncertain markets is a massive risk. Also I think many of the new models are being kept under wraps for now. I'm still expecting Honda to come out with the new Transalp and some others.

The Tuareg is a T7 beater provided Aprilia can fix up their poor dealer base etc.
