37mm of rain fell in the Polokwane area last weekend. I have been craving for a ride this entire week but never found the time to just get on the bike and go. I only managed one short ride (5km) to the gun shop and back on Thursday.
I planned a longish ride (direction Dendron) for Saturday but Murphy had other plans for me. Woke up Saturday morning with some kind of stomach bug and spent most of the day in bed feeling sorry for myself.
Got up this morning feeling much better and after a late breakfast, I jumped on the bike and left suburbia.
Stopped at one of the bridges on the outskirts of town and the river was flowing quite a bit. The wild aloes growing on the bridge were covered in yellow flowers. The level of the water at the nearby farm's game watering hole, was still very low.
