Hi From Scotland
« on: January 15, 2009, 05:34:35 pm »
Greetings from Scotland.

Been lurking on the site for a while now so decided to register. I recognise a few of the names on here from the UKGSer site.

It's warmed up nicely again here (for now anyway!) so instead of sunny and icy it is now wet and windy  :angry1:

Still, doesn't mean I'm not having fun on the bike  :ricky:

Haven't been out on a a bike in South Africa as yet, just 4x4s. Did Cape Town to Nam a few years back and a long trip through Nam last November. Want to do some biking down SA way in the near future though!

Safe riding!
Regards,

Gert

They're a good bunch on here, I moved from the UK last year and have just started on here.

I live in the Aberdeen area, but ride most of Scotland given half a chance as we have some great roads and scenery up here.

The West Coast is pretty good. If you're touring up Pitlochrie area and then up Glenshee to Fort William and the Spean Valley towards the Isle of Skye or further north towards Applecross. Then there's the Spey valley (whisky country!).

In short you can't really go wrong up here, great riding country. Drop me a PM if you want and I'll dig out some more stuff (or join you for a ride out if you like).

There's also a raft of info here:

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=68

Sorry, meant to ask are you going to be ona bike

Welcome!
Trials are survivable. We must keep our eternal perspective through the tough times.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we donít give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.Ē (2 Cor. 4:8-9 NLT)
