Het jy al gekyk na die Acserbis tank?

Llewelyn(Lew op die forum) voer daai goed dirt cheap in en hulle is rooi of wit, nie daai kark deurskynende kleur van IMS nie. Ek wil nou hoeka my XR se deurskynende tenk vervang met n rooi Acserbis, R2800 geland alle belasting ingesluit!!

Hello everybody!

I've been surfing around in the internet looking for some information about my new (old) Suzuki djebel 250 xc and landed on your site :).
I think it is model 95 or 96. But now i'm not so sure anymore if its the djebel or not, because it has the djebel tank but the dr headlight.
Can you tell me from the attached pictures which model it is?
I paid 3.100 US-$ here in Bolivia, or what would be about 21.000 rand. Has about 30k km, but it looks and feels in a very good condition (It's a Japan-import). I only had to change the bearings of the rear wheel and the gear-cable(?). Well, i will also have to change the front tyre, but i will wait until the rain season or my first serious tour.

Howzit El-Loco, welcome to this forum! By the looks of it yours is one of the first Djebels ie: the analog speedo and normal square light. My wife has one as well. Farking amazing bikes, 17lt tank and twincam head, all that you need! Small bikes is not really big in SA. The people here like expensive KTM's and BMW's etc, but of the small bike community knows what to appreciate!!!

thanks for the answers and the welcome!

Yes, it really is fun, even on the road. And i'm looking forward to ride it off the track. Well, i'm a student and so i couldn't afford a moto like a bmw gs650  :P
I've readen about "Herms" has added a digital rpm counter, i'd like to do this too. Is there a cheap model you could recommend me and where to find it on the web?
Also i'd like to know which tyre you recommend me for the front  ::)

Thanks again,

loco

Your bike is the standard DRZ250 with the Djebel XC tank and seat fitted.

The "real" Djebel 250 XC come standard with a 20cm (huge) round headlight and the XC tank, and special handlebar covers.  Even the frontfender does not look standard.
Oh I nearly forgot................the Djebel also comes with the same digital clock as the DRZ 400.

The Djebel 250 XC is basically a special edition of the DRZ 250

No Operator, you're wrong. The first edition Djebels had analogue clocks and std headlights like a DRZ, there after they changed it to the round headlight.

Mine is the DR250RS.

The Djebel XC was first introduced in 1996.

My one is a 1996 model .............and it is equipped with the big headlight and digital speedo.

Anyway it is just random facts, which are always debatable :P

Do you stil have your Djebel 250 XC?

I bought FearlessFrikkie's Djebel for my wife. ("Stofboxi")

She has now seen one on Autotrader, Suzuki South, similiar to yours, I think! (Duno if it's stil there?)

She likes the more funky finish! :thumleft:

Hi guys!

My rear tire run flat because the valve ripped out of the tube...
Now im trying to find a new tube, but i don't exactly know wich are the specefications the tube has got to have.
I only know 4.60 - 18. Now, 18 is 18 inch diameter, but what is the 4.60?
Now i found on a local store a Pirelli tube, but on its packaging it says something of 3.60 and 4.10.
That ois too small isn't it? I can't find another one though... Will it do for my tire?

There are also specs like 110/90 or 120/80 (but not on my tire) ... what does that mean?  ???

Thanks for the answers,
el_loco

Ek het Swambo se DR'kie so biekie gepamperlang.
