When I got my AT many moons ago, I met a few AT okes who would normally only take the following on a trip.
Tools
Red wine
Tin or 2 baked beans
Steak
Old army sleeping bag
and no gravel road was a detour or to far for them.
The AT okes I know today, seem more interested in BB's, restaurant food and is not really interested to go and explore bad gravel roads.
Is it my imagination or what you say?
