Due to my general ham-handedness I manage to break a fuel connector on my bike so it's off to Bavarian where they tell me what I need but the don't have it in stock and BMW SA doesn't have it stock. It's been back-ordered from Germany but that could take a while. I want my bike fixed so after a phone call to Auto Alpina I find out they they have stock so I  braved the R21 to Boksburg in the cage this morning where the traffic actually wasn't too bad and I now have the part.

The only problem is the price - R195! This is for what looks to me like a piece of moulded plastic with an o-ring, granted it's probably special petrol resistant plastic and o-ring but it still seems rather excessive. At least it didn't cost R500 although with my time and petrol it's probably over that. Oh well, nobody said biking was cheap
