Motorcycling from Alaska to Argentina

Starting Autumn 2008 I am going to ride from Alaska to Argentina in the hopes of raising money and awareness for Casa Alianza a Central and South American Children's Charity.

Why am I doing this?

I wanted to prove to myself that I could do something that was totally outside my comfort zone. And if I could learn to ride a motorbike and travel the length of the Americas that anyone could do anything they set their mind too.

You didn't mean 2009?  ;)

Just do it! Here is a link to Lois Pryce who did it on her own: http://www.loisontheloose.com/america/index.html
The book is a brilliant read. In 2007 I met her at he HorizonsUnlimited biker meeting near Nottingham/UK, where she held a presentation on another trip she had done all on her own - from London to Cape Town along the west route. Meaning she had to cross Nigeria, DRC, Cameroon etc. My God, what a woman  :o  I'd sh*t my pants before even thinking of traveling along that route  ::)
Only when we pause to wonder
do we go beyond the limits of our little lives.
