biggest hassle for me with my dakar is that i am forever changing tyres, its a crappy job by hand and i have started to leave the knobbly on for day trippin,i realy love the knobbly up front when riding in the dirt but the knobbly is kak in the rain.
i wanted to go the super motard route with another set of wheels but both touratech and wunderleich would set me back almost 25 grand. cheaper than another bike but still pricey .
i checked out a lot of local motard wheels but the set up looked like it would take a lot of enginerring and it was difficult to get someone who was willing to help with the set up after i bough the rims from them !
i also didnt want to fit the 17 mag wheel from the scarver as it would look to strange.
so i used the 19 front from the gs 650, i love how it looks.
