CS, kry 'n Ipod en goeie headset. Luister die musiek so hard as moontlik en begin worry eers as die bike gaan staan.

;D ;D ;D

My feeling is that its running lean - and maybe have spark issues.  Sorry, this pinging or tikkking wil bug me forever, I can't just live with it.  It makes me not trusting the bike, even if its mental.

Only way I would guess - is to have a fully analysis on the machines at the next (40k) service??

The main, causes of the tik-tik-tik sounds on a healthy engine are either the injectors which are suposed to do it, as they need to open and close or the tappits - the old saying comes to mind "a noisy tappit is a happy tappit" the moment you can not hear any tappit tik-tik-tik-tik the setting is wrong which means the it might be possible that the tappits do not close fully which directly results in burnt tappits.

If you have a fuel injected car hold your ear near die injectors or the tappit cover, you will hear the tik-tik-tik.  Or go by a Bosch agent and have alook and listen at the injectors that are tested on a test bench.

Checked the tappets - its fine.  The tik-tik is not as in a sound the tappets made, its got a electric sound it it, much like an electric fence or when a steel pipe runs down a wire on a foefie slide, but fast intermittently....if you know what I mean.  Closer to a pinging sound than a tappet sound.

hope i make sense  ???

It sounds like it is losing spark - hahahaha.

If it is losing spark, start the engine in a garage that is totally dark, if it is losing spark you will see the little blue miniature lightning bolts dancing on the plug leads, coil, or plug heads.  The only problem is to turn the headlight of the GS off, if it is the same as the 1200GS there is a way to do it, I've read it somewhere on the net. (easiest way is to pull plug out to the HL Globe(s) my 2c's

And don't kill yourself by running the engine in an enclosed space for too long. Those russian brides will never get over it.

Hein, dit klink my my soos fuelling issues.

'n Airflow sensor is 'n bliksem.

And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy."

There are fuel enrichment adjusting screws on your throttle bodies, but you must know how to mess around with them.
If you can keep your head in the midst of all this confusion, you don't understand the situation!
