Quick tip full pulling the 1200 plug caps rather than using 'a big flat screwdriver' ... that can screw with the cap and paint if not careful ...

Loop a cable tie around the cap and give quick tug - cannot believe that BMW does not put a cap puller in the 'tool kit' (if one can even call it that) F*ckers  :laughing4:

Pre 05 or something you got a proper tool kit, then after that you got BMW ON CALL.

Go to Midas and make up a tool kit, look on the fische for parts they show the complete tool kit. The spark plug puller is a must, I had to use it last weekend my bike sucked water on the Commitees drift road.

Actually now I think of it I did get a plug cap puller - sat somewhere under the seat? Lasted only a month or so - piece of crap. Long reach (and thin so does not stick) plug spanner a must.

Interesting read for the guys that experience the Tik tik noise....

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20368&highlight=Ping

I've narrowed it down.... seems like many GS owners have the same problem...

Will take my bike in for diagnostics this week....  :xxbah:
