On Monday the 25th of September I went on a solo ride in the Durbanville/Agter Paarl area looking for some gravel.
I filled up at the Wynland 1stop and took a left towards Klipheuwel at the Stellenbosch offramp. Took the next turnoff right onto gravel after a few hundred metres, and continued on this road until the Eenzaamheid turnoff, turned left there and followed it till it meets the R312 tar.
A derelict farm yard
A nice bloekomlaning
Some open space after the tunnel vision
The end/beginning of the Eenzaamheid road
Turned right here towards the R44, where I turned left towards Wellington, and then left again onto the Hoogstede road after a short distance. This road meets the Windmeul/Paardeberg tar road again, where I did a left towards Paardeberg, and then a left again onto Slent road towards Klipheuwel.
My bike turning 20k
View towards Klipheuwel
One of the wind generators
At Klipheuwel I followed Radio road towards Mellish station, and from there the R302 home.
Soon after the start
Apparently this railway line is still used!
Mellish station
Low tide at droffie's favourite water crossing
