We organised a couple of okes wiff nice bikes to go to the Tswaing Crater (Soutpan) on Saturday 28 March 2009.
7 Bikes in total made to trip, which turned out to be a fantastic morning. We had perfect weather and lekka roads!
The bikes were:
Suzuki DRZ400 (vilaishima)
Caponord x3 (one was mine)
Honda Transalp
Kawasaki KLE500
BMW G650X
We met at 7:00 at the BP on the corner of Atterbury and Charles were we had a coffee before we headed out to the north of Pretoria.
The crater is located about 40km north of Pretoria and takes you past Shoshanguve.
The entrance fee for the crater area is R15.00 per person. The roads around the crater is all dirt road, and the first section has got some very loose sand....
