So thats what they are called. I have no idea, Ive never been interested in Harleys... but Im getting to like some of them.

The fact that I only really like the Nightrods shows that im not getting that old!

the harley in your pic is not origal, the enjin should be a nucklehead but its not, see the picks it got its name from the fact that the tops look like nuckles

and i am not old (37) just old school!!!

I see exactly what you mean! The heads look totally different.

Looks original, my brother used to take me to school on one of those
it had 6.00 X 16 car tyres on it and went well
his joke was to fully advance the timing and tell me to kick start it
wickedly sendind my 50 pound body flying through the air

this a 1941-44 era "10/12"  61 cubic inch (1200cc)  "flathead"  meaning sidevalve!

about 1000 were importerd during the 2nd WW
