Help needed with Specialized Canopy Builder

Hi WD's, anybody know of someone who can custom build a canopy for my back-up vehicle. The vehicle is a VW Transporter and want a steel/ alu canopy built .
Everyone dies, not everyone lives !

Not sure if they still exist, but Jan Smit Staalwerke in Pretoria used to make a mean steel canopy for many vehicles in the late 80's and early 90's. Check a phone book or Info / yellow pages, and see if they're still around.

How big a canopy you looking at? Why not buy a panel van!

I am a welder/ Fabricator so may be able to help, depends on exactly what you are looking for as I have never made one of these before.

Drop me a PM and tell me what it is and we can see what we can do.

Incidently if there are any WD's out there looking for welding to be done.........i.e security gates burglar bars etc let me know as I am looking to start myself a lil' business.

I'll support briv on that one, the canopies I've seen from them are neat and well thought out.

Of course I've got my own ideas......... I've got an idea about something between an Eezi-loader and these pick-up truck loadbeds.
